Circle of Lies by Sara Dailey and Staci Weber Blog Tour Interview

The Circle of Lies blog tour kicks off February 1st! Check out the schedule of the tour here.

Title: Circle of Lies (Red Ridge Pack #2)
Authors: Sara Dailey and Staci Weber
Publisher: Boroughs Publishing Group

Description:
Aiden Wright is trying to figure out who he really is, but the truth could cost him his true mate—or his life. Life has always been easy for Aiden Wright. He’s smart, athletic, funny, and the ladies adore him. But when tragedy strikes, Aiden discovers the truth about who he really is, and his whole world comes crashing down around him. Aiden thought that being a teenage werewolf was going to be awesome, but it might just cost him the one girl who could make him whole.

Since her mother’s disappearance, Teagan Rhodes’s life has been littered with her father’s empty beer cans and his hollow promises to change. Convinced that others would only let her down, she keeps everyone at arm’s length—but resisting Aiden’s charm is proving to be more difficult than she thought. Throw in a psychotic werewolf hunter out to terminate the species, and one wrong move, one wrong decision could destroy everything.

INTERVIEW:
About the Book:

Give me the blurb for the book in 140 characters or less:
• *Aiden Wright is trying to figure out who he really is, but the truth could cost him his true mate—or his life.

Do you have a favorite character? Why is he your favorite?

*Our favorite character has always been Aiden. It’s so much fun to write characters that are funny and outgoing. Now, it was a little difficult finding a balance for Aiden in Circle of Lies. While we still wanted him to be funny and charming, he had to deal with some pretty serious issues in a pretty serious way. We think he turned out perfect.

What do you hope readers will get from your book?

*We hope that they get a few hours of being blissfully lost in someone else’s life. We aren’t out to change the world or anything; we simply want to entertain our readers with a good romance.

About the Author:
What/Who inspires you?

*We inspire each other; one of the many joys of writing together. It never fails that when one of us is feeling rather uninspired, the other is writing an awesome chapter that will totally get us back on track.

Hardest aspect of writing? Best/Easiest?

*The hardest part changes a lot. Right now, the hardest part is managing our time. With working full-time, kid’s after school activities, house work and everything else mothers have to do, setting aside real quality time to write is difficult at times.

The best part is getting to create stories with new characters and places that are unique and weirdly wonderful.

Who is your writing hero?

*We both agree on this one, John Green. The depth of his characters is one of his greatest skills. Even his minor characters have some quality that makes them essential and memorable. His stories take the reader on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and he always leaves you feeling good.

About the Future:
What’s next for you?

*We have a busy year ahead of us. We are writing a short story prequel to Pack of Lies due for a Spring 2013 release that will tell the story of Aiden’s mother, Lillian. We are hoping that it will be out sometime in April or May. Book 3 in the Red Ridge series is scheduled to be finished in May for a Fall 2013 release. Book 4 in the series should be finished in September 2013 for an early 2014 release; then we are stepping away from werewolves for another short story in November. (We have just given ourselves anxiety writing this!)

One outrageous goal for the future?

*Right now we are doing what we love and that’s enough for us. Maybe one day we will dream of other things to shoot for, but for now we are completely happy with our writing careers, but don’t tell that to the New York Times.

Do you have any advice you'd like to share with other aspiring writers?

*Be patient. It doesn’t happen overnight. Finding the right agent or publisher that you truly feel has your back is a big deal and is totally worth the wait.

Randomness:

*Salty

Beach, plains or mountains?

*Beach

Online, letters or in person?
