Puppy Love By Morgan K. Wyatt Interview

Hello everyone!! I've asked Morgan a few questions, so sit back, relax, and get to know her a little better :)

About the Book:
Give me the blurb for the book in 140 characters or less:

Theo decides to give up on love when she catches her sister in bed with her husband. Instead of blaming her sister, she blames herself, divorces her husband, distances herself from her sister, and shuts her heart to love.

Her son inadvertently pushes her back into the dating game when he drops off his puppy, Ollie, as he heads out to deployment abroad. He fails to inform her that the puppy isn’t even close to being trained or even somewhat obedient.

Ollie brings the dating-phobic Theo into contact with Dr. Brent Knight. Despite her best friend Lorna’s urging to go after him, Theo hangs back due the eleven year age gap and her past romantic history, but it doesn’t stop Ollie from barreling ahead.

When her high school rival Jenny shows up, Theo decides to fight for her man.

Do you have a favorite character? Why is he/she/it your favorite?

Theo is my favorite character because she pushes herself out of her comfort zone with hilarious results.

What do you hope readers will get from your book?

I hope readers will find the courage to pursue their dreams or that particular someone. Most people find out the things they worry about aren’t worth worrying about at all.

About the Author:
What/Who inspires you?

My grandmother was the most upbeat person who ever walked the earth. She encouraged me to pursue my dreams.

My husband also is my right hand man because he gives me ideas, edits, and proof reads my work.

Hardest aspect of writing?

Finding the happy medium that seems to please everyone is the hardest. I can have one publisher who thinks I need more internal dialogue. The next publisher wants less dialogue. The third publisher thinks the story is just right the way it is.

Best/Easiest?

The easiest part of writing is coming up with ideas. I often come with concepts for new stories while writing a current story. I sometimes start another story when I am writing one already.

Who is your writing hero?

Currently, my hero is Sandy James, who plugs away on her stories, helps other writers, teaches school, and manages a family all at the same time.

About the Future:
What’s next for you?

Secret Cravings Publishing is coming out with my weekend short, BLIND DATE, in August 2012. In September 2012, the first book of the Rebel Hearts series Undercover Rebel will be published by Secret Cravings Publishing too.

I am also starting my own online jewelry business, Pearl Fantasies, www.pearlfantasies.com

One outrageous goal for the future?

Travel to Costa Rica and write twelve books this year.

Do you have any advice you'd like to share with other aspiring writers?

Keep writing, attend conferences, meet other writers, but most importantly believe in yourself.

Randomness:
Sweet or salty?

Definitely salty, and maybe hot too.

Beach, plains or mountains?

The beach and the roar of the ocean fulfills a primal need.

Online, letters or in person?

There are merits to all three. Online is easier. Letters are more personal, but nothing ever beats face to face.

Ebook or print?

It is hard to read a Kindle in the tub. A paperback is still my go to for beach reading.

  1. Hi Brittany,

Thanks for having me. I noticed you are a paranormal fan. I am too. I have a series coming out called out PAGAN EYES that deals with a group of teens and adults who struggle with everyday problems including romance, family, and career. The only diference is that they are witches.Of course, when you come out as a witch, you come out of the broom closet.:)

    Thanks for hosting me.
