About the Author: What/Who inspires you?
Whatever moves me: excites me, angers me, interests me, saddens me, amuses me, fills me with joy or may help others. I was the reader to – for a brief time – see, feel, wonder and smile as I do: see and feel the world as I do.
Hardest aspect of writing? Best/Easiest?
The hardest aspect of writing is just sitting down and getting it out. The easiest is – of course – when words flow and match feelings and I know “That’s It!!”.
Who is your writing hero?
My writing hero is Isabel Wilkerson, “The Warmth of Other Suns”.
About the Future:
What’s next for you?
Am I am in the midst of writing my third book together with Veronica De Laurentiis. Our first together, “I Claimed My Life”, her memoir, was a best seller in Italy. Not published here yet. Our second was “Veronica’s Eight Keys To Claiming Your Life”, also published in Italy, and soon, we hope to be published here. The thirds, on which we’re currently working, is “The Rest Of The Story”; a sequel to the memoir.
One outrageous goal for the future?
Outrageous goal: To make four million dollars writing (Hah!)
Do you have any advice you'd like to share with other aspiring writers?
Write about whatever grabs your mind, your heart, your eyes. And then just keep writing! You’ll get better all the time.
Randomness:
Sweet or salty?
Both – It depends on what I’m eating, and thinking.
Beach, plains or mountains?
Mountains, definitely, but not too high. I like the Santa Monicas
Online, letters or in person?
Depends again. I still like the phone, a lot. I like to hear voices.
Ebook or print? E-books on my beloved Kindle – because they are easier to get. But I dearly miss book stores to browse in and smile!!
About the Author:
Anne M.Strick has spent over twenty years in the movie
industry. She has worked for Universal, Warners, Paramount and EMI, as a Unit
Publicist, Project Coordinator and National Publicity Director, and with such
Hollywood legends as Jack Nicholson, James Earl Jones, Sean Penn, Arnold
Schwarzenegger, David Lynch and Dino De Laurentiis, among many others.
She has been a Congressional speech writer, published
articles, theater reviews, short stories, two non-fiction books (one an
international best-seller), two novels,
and the highly praised ("remarkable") critique of our adversary legal
system, Injustice For All. Born in Philadelphia, educated at Bennington College
and UCLA, she lives in Los Angeles.
